This series of 10 oil paintings captures the water surface on Lake Huron as the sun rises and sets over the pier in Kincardine. These paintings were envisioned as a series, and were designed to be hung together as a larger motif.
Inspired by the series paintings and plein-air process of Impressionist Claude Monet, this series was painted during a 2 week self-directed residency on the beach from life. These paintings are a meditation on the fleeting subtleties of water and the hidden power beneath the waves.
