While in Spain, I sketched the layered hills, receding into the distant atmosphere. The beautifully curved silhouettes against the cloudy sky. Back in Toronto, I went into the forest to paint.
The morning light falling gently on the leaves, the dancing shadows, the branches merging and melding into one another with the breeze. These are the patterns I see in ocean swells.
